Email Address - Create a
new email address that you only use for birthday freebies to keep your
personal email separate and to ensure you have not already blocked any
freebies. |

Timing - Sign up for
freebies at least one month in advance of your birthday. The sign up requirements and frequency of
email distributions differ for all freebies and are subject to change. Signing up at least 1 month in advance
covers most of them. The further in
advance to your birthday you sign up the higher the number of freebies you
will receive. |

Date of Birth - Make sure
that your date of birth has been given.
Some websites require multiple web forms or a follow up by email
before you enter your date of birth. A
general rule to remember is, if they don't have your date of birth, they
won't send you anything for your birthday.
Some confirmation emails will include a link to "update
profile". Click this link to
ensure all of your information is accurate, including your date of
birth. |

Username / Password - Some
websites require you to choose a username and password to create an
account. Use your new email address as
your username and make note of your passwords as you may have to login later
to obtain a "reward" rather than receive an email. Once your account is created, it is
recommended to fully sign out and then sign back in to ensure all
requirements have been met to create the account. |

Favorite Location - Some
web forms will ask for your favorite location. This can be important later as it may
restrict the use of the coupon to only that location. |

Confirmations - A
confirmation email should be received within 24 hours of sign up, unless
noted on “All Freebies”. Check your
"junk" email folder and unblock any restaurant related email
addresses to ensure there are no email issues. Mark confirmation emails as "Add
Domain to Safe Sender List" to ensure freebies will be received in
future emails. Thoroughly read through
all confirmation emails as some freebies have additional actions required to
make your account official in order to receive your freebie. |
